Volkswagen has opened the bookings for the much anticipated hot-hatch for the Indian Market, the Volkswagen Golf GTI. The bookings will be open on the 5th of May 2025. Features & Design

The Golf’s top speed has been electronically limited to 259 km/h. There are other tweaks for the performance enhancements, including an electronically controlled front axle differential lock and progressive steering, offering better handling abilities.

In India, the VW Golf will be launched in the premium hatchback segment. Its primary competitor will be the Mini-Cooper S, featuring a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, offering 201 BHP and 300 Nm of Torque, going from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.

Expected Pricing

The Golf will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) from Germany. This makes it eligible for heavy import duties, resulting in a higher ex-showroom pricing, expected to be around ₹45 Lakh to ₹52 Lakh.
