In recent years, India’s affluent class has been increasingly drawn to luxury cars, with many turning to high-end brands like Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar-Land Rover, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, and Lamborghini. Younger buyers are driving much of this demand. The luxury car market has seen significant growth, particularly in the past three years following the pandemic’s end, allowing automakers to report strong sales figures.
Lamborghini has seen remarkable success in India during 2024 and 2025. The luxury carmaker has experienced a significant surge in demand, driven by a growing number of wealthy individuals and young buyers looking for high-performance vehicles. The brand’s sales have soared as more people in India seek exclusive, luxury cars as symbols of status and success. Lamborghini’s appeal has been further boosted by its presence in key cities and personalized customer experiences.
The company markets models such as the Huracan, Urus and Revuelto in India. These models are priced from Rs 4 crore to Rs 9 crore – before road tax and other local levies. These cars attract 100% customs duty since they are brought in as completely built-up units, crafted in Sant’Agata Bolognese and exported all over the world. Lamborghini has only one factory globally. Currently, there are three dealerships in India; in Delhi, Mumbai & Bengaluru.
The Urus accounts for 50% of the company’s total sales, and order books have been filled for the next 18 months. It addresses a key problem with supercar ownership in India, their ground clearance; they simply aren’t built to handle our country’s poor road conditions. This is no longer an issue with the Lamborghini Urus.
In 2024, Lamborghini India recorded its best sales record, selling a total of 113 cars nationwide. This record is staggering 10% higher than the year prior. This growth is expected to increase even more as the order book is full until 2027.
As more customers demand premium vehicles in our country, Brands like Lamborghini continue to achieve success and become one of the most notable names in the automobile industry in our country. More brands continue to please Indian customers with the introduction of newer models specially developed for the Indian market.
