Skoda Kylaq gets Classic+ and Prestige+ variants following the local launch of the Kushaq Facelift. These additions aim to broaden choice within Skoda’s sub‑4M compact SUV line-up.
Priced within the existing range, the Kylaq continues to start from around ₹7.59 lakh and extend up to about ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Classic+ variant slots above the base Classic and adds features like 16-inch alloy wheels, an electric sunroof, automatic wipers, cruise control and steering-mounted controls, with both manual and automatic gearbox options now available. The Prestige+ is positioned above the standard Prestige and brings enhanced equipment while keeping pricing competitive.
This reshuffle also sees feature upgrades in the mid-tier Signature and Signature+ trims, making equipment levels more appealing without broad price changes, which is notable given rising segment expectations for technology and comfort.

Sportline Variant & Future Expansion
Skoda has also confirmed the development of a Sportline variant for the Kylaq, slated for launch in the third quarter of 2026. This version is expected to lean into a more sporty design language by differentiating it further from the base range and potentially broadening appeal to buyers seeking a more dynamic aesthetic in the compact SUV space.

The addition of these variants reflects Skoda’s strategy to strengthen the Kylaq’s competitiveness, especially as the broader compact SUV market in India continues to evolve with new and refreshed models hitting showrooms throughout 2026.
Market Performance & Strategic Importance
The Skoda Kylaq has quickly become an important part of the brand’s India portfolio since its launch, helping Skoda Auto Volkswagen India boost overall sales performance. Industry data indicates that the Kylaq has significantly contributed to the marque’s strong growth trajectory in 2025, with India emerging as a key market in global delivery figures.
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB A0 platform and powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (115 PS, 178 NM) paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, the Kylaq is suitable for buyers transitioning from hatchbacks or smaller SUVs.
