Kia has confirmed that the upcoming Sorento will get an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system in India. The flagship SUV will launch on September 4, 2026, and will sit above the Kia Carnival in the brand’s India portfolio. It will also become Kia’s first strong-hybrid and AWD model in the Indian market.

Kia confirmed the AWD system through a new teaser ahead of the SUV’s India launch. The Sorento will also introduce Live Gen AI, an in-car voice assistant that can understand natural conversations and control selected vehicle functions.
