Kia has officially started bookings for the Carens Clavis EV from July 22, 2025, with a token payment of ₹25,000 at dealerships and their official website. The introductory ex-showroom price ranges from ₹17.99 lakh to ₹24.49 lakh across four variants: HTK+, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX+ ER . This launch marks Kia’s first mass-market electric offering in India and their maiden 7-seater EV, with a focus on providing eco-friendly mobility and family-friendly practicality.

The Carens Clavis EV is available in two battery options: a 42 kWh pack delivering around 404 KM ARAI range, and a larger 51.4 kWh pack rated for approximately 490 KM. Fast charging up to 100 kW ensures a 10–80% recharge in about 39 minutes. Motor outputs vary between 99 kW and 126 kW (133–169 BHP) with torque of 255 NM, and a 0–100 KM/H time of about 8.4 seconds, making it suitably quick even when fully loaded.

Inside, the EV features a 26.6‑inch display with ADAS Level 2 safety featuring 20 automated aids, and 18 built-in safety systems including six airbags.
