Jeep Launches Grand Cherokee Signature Edition In India

1 min read

Jeep has rolled out a new Signature Edition of the Grand Cherokee in India, priced at ₹69.04 Lakh (ex-showroom). It sits just a bit higher than the standard Limited (O) variant, which is priced at ₹67.50 Lakh (ex-showroom). The Signature Edition builds on the base by adding a few practical touches without altering its core mechanical setup. Deliveries are expected to begin shortly, and being a limited edition, it’s likely to attract customers looking for a bit more exclusivity.

What’s New On The Outside

The Signature Edition doesn’t change the iconic design of the Grand Cherokee, expect the same bold presence with the classic seven-slot grille and 20-inch alloy wheels. But Jeep has added motorised side steps, and a welcome feature for buyers who often find getting in and out of large SUVs tricky. These electrically powered steps fold away neatly when not in use.

Tech & Comfort

Inside, the cabin has been spruced up with more entertainment and safety tech. The big additions are dual 11.6 inch Android touchscreens for rear passengers, complete with built-in speakers, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and AUX support. Another practical upgrade is the addition of front and rear dash cameras, which add a layer of safety and security while driving in city traffic or during road trips.

Apart from these changes, it continues to offer features like a 10.1 inch infotainment system, 10.25 inch digital driver display, a 10.25 inch co-driver screen, panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and a 9-speaker Alpine sound system. On the safety side, it includes 8 airbags, ADAS, 360 degree camera, ESC, and TPMS.

Same Powertrain & Performance

Under the hood, the Signature Edition sticks with the 2.0 Litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 272 HP and 400 NM of torque. It comes paired with an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission and Jeep’s trusted Quadra-Trac All-wheel Drive system.

Key Additions & Specifications Of The Signature Edition

The Signature Edition introduces practical updates, including motorized side steps to assist with entry and exit, and dual rear touchscreens offering standard media connectivity. Safety is enhanced with front and rear dash cameras for on-road recording. The interior layout and features remain consistent with the Limited (O) variant, featuring multiple digital displays, leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. The engine setup remains unchanged, continuing with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine delivering 272 HP and 400 NM of peak torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. This edition is priced ₹1.54 lakh higher than the standard base model, at ₹69.04 lakh.
