Jaguar has officially ended production of the F-Pace, bringing down the curtain on a model that stayed in its global lineup for around a decade, from its 2015 debut to the end of production in December 2025. The final unit rolled out of the Solihull plant in the UK in December 2025, marking the end of internal combustion engine production for the brand. The last-built F-Pace has been handed over to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, where it will be preserved alongside other historically significant models. This moment closes an important chapter for Jaguar, as the F-Pace was not only its first SUV but also its best-selling model globally during its lifecycle.

Why The F-Pace Mattered To Jaguar

The F-Pace debuted at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show and went on sale internationally in 2016, entering a segment that Jaguar had never competed in before. The SUV helped the brand reach a wider audience, especially in markets where demand for luxury SUVs outpaced sedans and sports cars. In India, the F-Pace launched in October 2016, initially with diesel engines, before a petrol option joined the range in 2018. A facelift in 2021 introduced revised styling and updated features, keeping the model competitive as rivals evolved. Over time, the F-Pace became central to Jaguar’s global volumes, which makes its discontinuation a significant shift.

Final Specifications & India Context

In its final form, the F-Pace came with a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 247 HP and a 2.0-litre diesel delivering 204 HP. Both engines came paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox from ZF and standard all-wheel drive. In India, the final listed ex-showroom price for the F-Pace range was around ₹69 lakh, depending on variant and updates.

Although India bought fewer sales volumes than mass-market SUVs, the F-Pace represented Jaguar’s main presence in the luxury SUV space. With F-Pace production now stopped, Jaguar has no ICE-powered models in production as it pauses sales to prepare for its next-generation EV range.

The Shift To An Electric-Only Future

The end of the F-Pace aligns with Jaguar’s long-term strategy announced in 2021, which set out to reposition the marque as an all-electric luxury brand. This transition gained momentum with the reveal of a new brand identity in late 2024 and the unveiling of the Type 00 Concept, which previews Jaguar’s future design direction. The first production EV under this new phase is expected to debut in 2026 and will also be built at the Solihull plant. With the F-Pace now part of history, Jaguar’s focus moves entirely to redefining itself in the electric era, with no ICE models planned to bridge the gap.
