Hyundai Motor India have launched a new ‘Adventure Edition‘ of the Venue sub-compact crossover, with the range starting from ₹10.15 lakh (ex-showroom) and it also gets a new ‘Ranger Khaki‘ paint option along with many other cosmetic updates too. There are only three trims on offer: S(O)+, SX and SX(O) and it is only available with petrol engines.
Exterior
It gets blacked out treatment for the front and rear skid plates, alloy wheels, roof rails, wing mirrors, shark fin antenna, front grille, Hyundai logos and the new side cladding on the doors as well. The front brake callipers are finished in red and also features an ‘Adventure‘ badge on the front side fenders.
Interior
The black theme continues inside, but there are sage green coloured inserts to add contrast. The seats get ‘Adventure Edition‘ specific upholstery, there are new ‘3D‘ floor mats and also sporty looking dirver foot pedals. As for new equipment, a dashcam with dual (front and rear) cameras has been added.
Colors
Offered in a total of fourmono-tone shades: Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, Titan Grey and all the colors except the Abyss Black can be had in a dual tone option with a blacked out roof, but only in the SX and SX(O) variants.
Engines
Available only with two petrol options and notably, can not be had with the diesel motor that is offered in the standard car.
The 83 HP, 114 N-m, 1.2 litre, four cylinder naturally aspirated unit with a five speed manual gearbox in the S(O)+ and SX variants
or the 120 HP, 172 N-m, one litre, three cylinder turbo petrol mill with the seven speed dual clutch transmission in the SX(O) model.
Prices
It commands a premium of ₹15,000 over the equivalent normal variant it is based on and the dual tone color options in the SX and SX(O) trims cost an additional ₹15,000.
