Hyundai India recorded total domestic sales of 53,792 units in October 2025, which was lower than the 55,568 units sold in the same month last year. This marks a 3.2% decline year on year, although the brand improved on a month on month basis. It rose 4.36% over September’s 51,547 units. The overall performance shows that Hyundai is relying heavily on its two core products, the Creta and the Venue. These two models alone contributed 56% of the company’s monthly volume.

Creta & Venue Continue to Anchor Hyundai’s Sales

Hyundai-Creta-Exterior-Front-Left-Quarter

The Creta, including its EV variant, remained Hyundai’s highest selling model with 18,381 units. It contributed to more than 34% share of the company’s October sales. It grew 5.05% year-on-year, although its performance slipped 2.54% compared to September.

Hyundai-Venue-Exterior-Front-Right-Quarter

The Venue also performed strongly with 11,738 units, marking a 7.68% rise year-on-year and 2.21% month-on-month growth. Together, these two SUVs contributed over 30,000 units, demonstrating how central they are to Hyundai’s overall volume.

Exter & Aura Deliver Mixed Results

Hyundai-Exter-Pro-Pack-Exterior-Driving-Front-Left-Quarter

The Exter recorded 6,294 units, which was lower than the 7,127 units posted last year. This represents a 11.69% decline, yet the model improved month-on-month with an 11.54% rise as it outperformed September’s 5,643 units.

Hyundai-Aura-Exterior-Front-Right-Quarter

The Aura showed a more consistent upward trend with 5,815 units in October, up 21.02% year-on-year and 7.95% month-on-month. These numbers show that while the Exter may be stabilising after earlier peaks, the Aura is continuing to build momentum in the compact sedan space.

Grand i10 & i20 Face Contrast In Yearly Performance

Hyundai-Grand-i10-Exterior-Front-Right-Quarter

The Grand i10 logged 5,426 units, marking a 12.98% decline year-on-year, yet it recorded one of Hyundai’s strongest month-on-month recoveries with a 28.03% increase. This indicates a sharp rise after a weak September.

Hyundai-i20-Exterior-Front-Left-Quarter

The i20 did not show the same bounce. It managed 4,023 units, which is down 24.86% year-on-year but slightly improved on a monthly basis with a 3.58% rise. Both hatchbacks continue to play important roles in Hyundai’s lineup, although their yearly fall suggests more competition in the premium and compact hatchback segments.

Alcazar & Verna Register Sharp Yearly Drops

Hyundai-Alcazar-Exterior-Front-Left-Quarter

The Alcazar recorded 1,259 units, a large 42.88% drop year on year. Though, it stayed almost flat month-on-month with a minor 2.03% rise over September.

Hyundai-Verna-Exterior-Front-Left-Quarter

The Verna posted 824 units, a 35.22% decline year-on-year, yet it grew 13.66% month-on-month. These trends imply that both models are stabilising but remain far below their performance from last year. Sedan demand in general has been uneven across the market, and the Alcazar continues to face pressure from growing three row SUV competition.

Tucson & Ioniq 5 Remain Niche Contributors

2022-Hyundai-Tucson-Exterior-Front-Left-Quarter

Hyundai’s premium lineup contributed very small numbers in October. The Tucson, which was recently discontinued, accounted for only 26 units. This marks an 81.56% year-on-year decline and a sharp 69.41% drop compared to September.

Hyundai-Ioniq-5-Exterior-Front-Left-Quarter

The Ioniq 5, Hyundai’s flagship EV in India, recorded just 6 units, the same as the previous month but down 81.25% year on year. These figures point to limited demand at the higher end of Hyundai’s portfolio. Despite their low volumes, the two serve as halo models and are important for technology showcase purposes.
