In January, Hyundai launched the Creta EV. Hyundai entered the Indian EV market late, while other brands like Tata and Mahindra were trying to dominate it with their products. Hyundai has also sold 2696 units of this particular EV so far. Major bookings came from the long-range variant of the car, with a tally of 77%, which has a range of 473 KM. The remaining 23% of bookings come from the Standard Range variant with 390 KM of range.

Insights Of The Sales & Bookings

From the opening of bookings, the Creta has received a total of 3,339 bookings so far.

Long-Range (55.5 KWH) Variant Sales

Most of the buyers have bought the 11 KW AC home charger with their Long Range Creta EV, and the top-spec variant received the major bookings with more than 70%, which costs an additional Rs 73,000. Others have opted for no chargers. The long-range version is also available in the mid-spec variant – Smart (O) trim, which has received 7% of bookings.

  • The price range of the long-range variant starts from Rs 21.50 lakhs and goes up to Rs 24.38 lakhs.

Standard-Range (42 KWH) Variant Sales

However, the aggressive pricing doesn’t reward back the sales that the Standard-Range should get due to the lower range. In total, it received above 20% bookings, in which the second-base premium trim gets the most bookings with 12%.

This standard-range variant competes with the Tata Curvv EV medium-range variant, which has a slightly bigger battery pack of 45 KWH. The price range of the standard-range Creta EV ranges from Rs 18 lakhs to Rs 20.88 lakhs.
