Honda Cars India has confirmed that it will hike prices across its passenger vehicle range from January 26, 2026.. The company has not disclosed the exact percentage increase yet. It has linked the decision to sustained pressure from higher input and operational costs. These include rising expenses for raw materials, logistics and supplier components, which Honda says it has absorbed for several months to limit the impact on customers. As with most annual revisions, the new prices will apply to vehicles produced in the 2026 model year.
Models Affected & Price Context

The upcoming revision will cover Honda’s entire India line-up, which includes the Amaze, City, City Hybrid and Elevate. The Amaze currently starts at about ₹7.41 lakh and goes up to around ₹10 lakh ex-showroom. It is Honda’s most accessible offering in India. Honda prices the City from roughly ₹11.95 lakh and offers it with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine paired with manual and CVT options. The Elevate SUV, Honda’s newest model in India, now sits between about ₹10.99 lakh and ₹16.67 lakh ex-showroom after the GST-related price cuts. Although the price hike will raise these figures, Honda expects the increase to be modest, especially when compared with the significant price reductions customers received earlier in 2025 following GST revisions.
Broader Relevance To Buyers

For buyers, this revision creates a year-end window where MY2025 vehicles remain available at current prices, depending on dealer stock. This often encourages customers to advance purchase decisions, particularly in price-sensitive segments. Honda’s move aligns with similar announcements from several other manufacturers, reflecting broader cost pressures. Even after the revision, most Honda models are expected to remain priced below their pre-GST levels, which reduces the real-world impact.
