Amaze Leads Honda’s Volume Contribution

The Honda Amaze continues to be the brand’s volume-driver in India, contributing a large share to overall volumes. Its combination of compact dimensions, efficient petrol engine, and a smooth CVT gearbox has kept it a preferred choice in the subcompact sedan segment. Alongside the Amaze, the Honda Elevate maintained its steady performance, drawing attention for its practicality, comfortable cabin, and reliability. To maintain its demand, the carmaker recently launched the Elevate ADV edition, with design changes that add to its rugged appeal, but with no mechanical updates. The company also reported consistent demand for its City sedan, particularly in urban markets where mid-size sedans still hold aspirational appeal. Together, these models helped Honda sustain growth despite limited product diversity compared to competitors with larger SUV portfolios.

Export Numbers Show Positive Signs

Honda Cars India also performed well on the export front, shipping 4,124 units of made-in-India cars in October 2025. This export performance reflects the brand’s efforts to strengthen its role as a manufacturing hub for select global markets. The company’s focus on expanding production efficiency, improving localization, and introducing model variants suited for international customers continues to pay off. While exports form a smaller portion of Honda’s overall business in India, they remain an important part of its long-term growth plan. The company’s export figures, combined with domestic momentum, underline a balanced performance across both fronts.

Future Outlook: Strengthening Product Lineup Ahead

Looking ahead, Honda Cars India plans to build on this growth with a stronger portfolio in the coming years. The company has already confirmed plans to launch 10 new cars in India by 2030, including seven SUVs and multiple electric vehicles (EVs). Its first India-specific EV is expected to debut by 2027, marking Honda’s entry into the country’s fast-growing electric vehicle space. With these developments, the automaker aims to regain market share and strengthen its presence in segments where it currently has limited offerings. The October 2025 sales growth is therefore a positive signal for Honda, reflecting growing consumer confidence in its refreshed strategy for India.
