Citroën India has unveiled the limited‑run C3 Sport Edition with a starting ex‑showroom price of ₹6.44 lakh. It brings a fresh aesthetic and some feature additions over the standard hatchback. It’s mostly a cosmetic play.
What’s New?

The star of the show is the new Garnet Red paint finish which looks bold and unique in the C3’s palette. Coupled with rally‑style “SPORT” decals that stretch across the bonnet, roof and doors, it instantly elevates street presence. Inside, race‑style pedals, ambient lighting, new seat covers, mats and cushioned seat belts try to create a sporty vibe. The actual bodyshell has not been changed and all panels remain identical to the prior C3.
Powertrain & Performance

Citroën has left the powertrain untouched. The Sport Edition is offered with the same 1.2‑litre PureTech engines: with a NA petrol producing 82 BHP & 115 Nm of torque, or the 110 BHP turbo-petrol producing up to 205 Nm of torque paired with either a manual or torque‑converter automatic transmission. The C3 Turbo accelerates from 0-100 km/h in about ten seconds.
Feature Additions

Beyond the style pack, buyers can opt for a Tech Kit for ₹15,000. It adds some extras like a dashcam and wireless mobile charger. This brings some functional merit to an otherwise cosmetic upgrade. Still, essentials like a rear wiper, defogger and automatic ORVMs remain absent.
Verdict

Citroën is offering this Sport Edition across Live, Feel, Shine MT and Shine Turbo AT variants, totaling six configurations, and limiting production. It delivers a compelling visual update that some may like. The Garnet Red sheen and race‑inspired trims add character to the car, and it sure does look pretty. But with no mechanical upgrades, this remains a purely cosmetic package. Those looking for a true performance hatch should avoid the 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol engine altogether.
