BYD Atto 3 & Seal Updated In India

BYD has officially launched the 2025 models of its Seal electric sedan and Atto 3 crossover in India. The updated models feature some minor enhancements and address some prior shortcomings tailored for the Indian market.

What’s New?

All variants of the BYD Seal now include a powered sunshade – a prior issue due to the large glass roof and India’s sunny climate. The vehicle is also equipped with a better air conditioning system with an air purifier too. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard features across all models.

For the Seal Performance variant, BYD has introduced their DiSus-C intelligent damping system. This serves as adaptive suspension that adjusts itself based on the road conditions ahead. The mid-tier Seal Premium variant now gets Frequency Selective Dampers that should help alleviate complaints about the Seal’s stiff ride quality. The Seal offers the best performance for the price with the top Performance model offering 500+ BHP & ballistic acceleration with all-wheel drive for better traction.

The Atto 3, on the other hand, has also received some updates. It now comes with an upgraded low-voltage battery that now uses new lithium iron phosphate technology for a longer life. Ventilated seats are also available on the Atto 3, bringing it back up to speed with its competition. The Atto 3 will soon receive a facelift globally, which we also expect BYD to bring to India very soon.

BYD’s India Story

BYD aims to grow its presence in the Indian market, as they are currently a small player. Ever since they entered the market, originally with the Atto 3, they have slowly launched more products to grow their portfolio & cement their position as a premium EV maker. Premium models like the Seal build brand value and attract attention towards its products. Bookings for both models have commenced with a prior deposit of ₹1.25 lakh.
