Nissan is gearing up to launch the facelifted version of its compact SUV, the Magnite, in India on October 4, 2024. The company has officially opened bookings for the updated model with a booking amount set at ₹11,000. Deliveries will begin from October 5, 2024.
Exterior
The facelift of the Nissan Magnite is expected to include a refreshed front grille, updated headlamps, and taillights. The bumpers will also be redesigned for a more contemporary look.
The alloy wheels will feature a new design while maintaining the same 16-inch size. Additionally, this update is anticipated to introduce some new exterior color options.
Interior
The facelifted Nissan Magnite will offer a more premium interior with features like ventilated front seats, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and a redesigned digital instrument cluster. The cabin will retain a similar design but with updates, including new orange-black upholstery and improved materials. Existing features such as wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and rear AC vents will also be included Nissan will enhance the overall feature list with a sunroof and ambient lighting. 6-airbags will be offered as standard across all variants.
Powertrain Options
The engine options in the facelifted Magnite will remain unchanged. It will continue to be powered by the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 72 PS, and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 100 PS. These engines will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. Despite the cosmetic and feature upgrades, no significant performance boost is expected.
Rivals
In the highly competitive sub-4-meter SUV segment, the Nissan Magnite facelift will continue to rival popular models such as the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. It will also face competition from newer entrants like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and the Renault Kiger, which shares its platform and powertrains with the Magnite.
