BMW has updated the iX1 LWB in India with new exterior and interior options, giving the electric SUV a wider appeal without changing its price or mechanical package. The updated iX1 LWB continues to sit at ₹49.90 lakh ex-showroom, making it one of the more accessible luxury EVs. The new additions come months after BMW introduced feature upgrades based on customer feedback, which included a 360 degree camera and other creature comforts. With the latest update, BMW aims to give buyers more combinations to personalise their car while keeping the overall proposition unchanged.
New Night Dusk Blue Exterior Colour

The visual update is led by a new exterior paint shade called Night Dusk Blue. This metallic finish joins Carbon Black, Mineral White and Skyscraper Grey, bringing the total number of paint choices to four. The colour palette was wider at launch, with more options like Portimao Blue and Sparkling Copper Grey. However, BMW has since streamlined its offerings based on demand trends. Night Dusk Blue brings a darker tone to the SUV, slotting between the brighter grey and the deep black options. The long wheelbase body, measuring 4,616 MM in length, stands slightly larger than most rivals in the segment.
Cabin Gains New Vegan Leather Theme

Inside, the iX1 LWB now offers two upholstery choices crafted from vegan leather. Buyers can pick Veganza Castanea, a rich mocha-brown finish that was already available, or the newly added Smoke White and Atlas Grey dual tone theme. Both feature 3D stitching and use sustainable materials, which aligns with BMW’s efforts to position the iX1 as an environmentally conscious product. The upholstery extends to areas beyond the seats, including parts of the doors, dashboard and speaker housings. The feature list remains unchanged, as the model continues with dual-zone climate control, a Harman Kardon audio system, a panoramic roof and powered front seats with massage functions.
No Mechanical Changes

BMW has not made any changes to the electric powertrain. The iX1 LWB continues with its 66.4 kWh battery pack that claims up to 531 KM MIDC range. Power comes from a single front mounted motor that produces 204 HP and 250 NM. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 KM/H in 8.6 seconds and supports DC charging at up to 130 kW. A 10 to 80% charge takes around 29 minutes using a fast charger, while an 11 kW AC charger takes just over six hours for a full charge. With no mechanical changes, BMW’s update focuses entirely on giving buyers more personalisation options.
The iX1 LWB remains positioned as BMW’s entry point into its electric lineup in India. The new colour and upholstery choices help extend its appeal without altering price or performance. This might help the model stay competitive amid increasing activity from Chinese and other global EV manufacturers.
