BMW has introduced the M3 Competition and M5 Touring in India as part of its limited-run 100 Jahre Nurburgring editions. Bookings for the special editions are now open, although BMW has not confirmed the number of units allocated to India. The same edition is also available with the M5 sedan, M2 xDrive and M4 Competition, expanding BMW India’s high-performance line-up.
100 Jahre Nurburgring Edition Details
The special editions commemorate the 100th anniversary of Germany’s Nurburgring circuit, known as the ‘Green Hell’. The 20.8km circuit has hosted endurance races, DTM championships and Grand Prix events. The India-spec cars feature an exclusive Nurburgring Green exterior finish, commemorative circuit decals and “100 Year” stickers. Black wheels with bright-green accents complete the exterior changes.
Interior & Design Updates
Inside, the special editions feature a predominantly black cabin with green-and-white contrast stitching on the seats and steering wheel. Additionally, they receive exclusive door sills and Nurburgring circuit embroidery on the seat headrests. A commemorative plaque on the centre console further distinguishes the limited-run models. These changes remain primarily cosmetic, with the mechanical specifications carried over from their respective standard versions.
BMW M5 Touring

The M5 Touring marks BMW India’s first estate model. It uses the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain as the M5 sedan, producing 727 HP and 1,000 NM. An 8-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels. The estate can accelerate from 0-100 KM/H in a claimed 3.6 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 250 KM/H. With the optional M Driver’s Package, this rises to 305 KM/H. Its WLTP-rated electric range is up to 67 KM.
BMW M3 Competition

The M3 Competition xDrive also joins BMW India’s line-up for the first time. It shares its 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six with the M4 Competition, producing 530 HP and 650 NM. An 8-speed automatic transmission and AWD system send power to all four wheels. BMW claims a 0-100 KM/H time of 3.5 seconds and a 250 KM/H top speed. The optional M Driver’s Package raises the top speed to 290 KM/H.
BMW M2 xDrive
The M2 xDrive becomes the first AWD version of the M2 offered in India. It uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six that develops 480 HP and 600 NM, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The AWD system helps the M2 xDrive accelerate from 0-100 KM/H in a claimed 3.7 seconds, making it 0.3 seconds quicker than the rear-wheel-drive version. Its top speed stands at 250 KM/H, or 285 KM/H with the M Driver’s Package.

The M5 sedan and M4 Competition are also part of the limited-run line-up, alongside the newly introduced M3 Competition, M5 Touring and M2 xDrive.
