Audi has introduced the AirConsole platform to its in-car infotainment systems, allowing passengers to play casual games using smartphones as controllers.
What Is AirConsole & How It Works

AirConsole is a gaming platform developed by Swiss startup N-Dream. It allows users to use their phones as controllers and play games together. AirConsole is integrated into Audi’s MMI system, enabling gameplay on the central touchscreen or, in compatible vehicles, the MMI passenger display. Smartphones connect via a QR code and act as controllers. A privacy mode prevents the driver from viewing the passenger’s screen content while the vehicle is in motion to reduce distractions.
Supported Models & Availability
AirConsole is available through the Audi Application Store on select models with the new Android-based infotainment platform. Audi has listed the A5, Q5, A6, A6 e-tron and Q6 e-tron as compatible. Availability depends on the vehicle software version, market and application store access.
For India, the feature’s rollout is expected to come with the launch of these new models and the local activation of the Audi Application Store. The Q6 e-tron, scheduled for an India launch in late 2025, is expected to support AirConsole.
Games, Data Use & Costs

The current game library includes UNO Car Party!, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and Pictionary Car Party, with the latter available exclusively for Audi owners until the end of 2025. AirConsole requires a myAudi account, an active data connection and access to the Audi Application Store. Data allowances for in-car applications depend on the market.
Use Cases & Limitations
AirConsole can be used while the vehicle is stationary or, on equipped models, via the passenger display during driving without distracting the driver. The system is designed for casual games, and performance depends on how good in-car connectivity is and your phone’s responsiveness.
Conclusion

AirConsole expands in-car functionality on some new Audi models with the new Android-based infotainment. Buyers should confirm with dealerships whether AirConsole support is enabled on the specific variant they intend to purchase whenever these new cars launch.
