Aston Martin has revealed that sales are evenly split between its SUV and sports car models. The company has revealed that the sales split is currently at a 50:50 split. This means that Aston Martin’s sports cars sell as many units as their SUVs. To put things into perspective, the Aston Martin Vantage and DB12 sell as much as the DBX in India. Aston Martin recently launched the 3rd generation Vanquish in India. Aston Martin plans to maintain this balance between its SUV and sports car offerings.

Sales

While exact sales numbers haven’t been revealed, Aston Martin India is understood to have sold 22 units in 2024. The DBX’s success, compared to other Aston Martin models, is not a surprise, given that SUVs have always been in high demand in the Indian market.

How Are Other Brands Doing?

This trend also holds for other brands such as Porsche and Lamborghini. Porsche’s sales were 71% in favor of the Cayenne and Macan, with the remaining 29% comprising the 911, Panamera, Taycan, 718 Cayman and Boxster.

Lamborghini India revealed that it had a 60:40 split between the Urus SUV and the other supercar offerings such as the Huracan.
