Aston Martin has expanded the DBX range with the new DBX GT, positioned alongside the sportier DBX S. The new variant focuses on comfort, refinement and luxury rather than outright aggression. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in Q4 2026 across global markets. The DBX GT retains the DBX S’s powertrain, while Aston Martin has made several changes to its suspension, cabin and exterior design.

Powertrain & Performance

The DBX GT uses the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as the DBX S. It produces 727 HP and 900 NM, with a 9-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. The SUV can accelerate from 0-100 KM/H in a claimed 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 310 KM/H. However, Aston Martin has retuned the throttle and gearbox for smoother responses. The suspension also gets revisions for a more pliant ride, while additional dampers help control body movement.

Exterior Design

The DBX GT adopts a cleaner exterior design compared with the DBX S. The front bumper features a body-coloured finish, while the redesigned grille uses horizontal slats instead of a mesh pattern. Meanwhile, the side strakes receive a satin-silver finish, and the side sills and rear diffuser are body-coloured. The GT comes with 22-inch alloy wheels as standard, while 23-inch wheels are available as an option. At the rear, a new horizontally aligned quad-exhaust setup differentiates the variant.

Interior & Comfort

Inside, the overall dashboard layout remains unchanged. However, Aston Martin has added several upgrades aimed at improving comfort and cabin ambience. The seats receive new leather upholstery and thicker memory-foam cushions. Additionally, the cabin uses anodised metal around the drive mode selector and rotary controls, along with deep-pile carpets. Buyers can also choose from a wide range of colour and upholstery combinations.

Refinement & Technology

The DBX GT receives additional sound deadening and laminated windows to reduce outside noise. Furthermore, a fixed panoramic glass roof comes as standard, adding more natural light to the cabin. Aston Martin has also retuned the exhaust to deliver what it describes as a cleaner and richer sound. These changes reinforce the GT’s focus on long-distance comfort rather than the sharper character of the DBX S.

India Availability & Prices

Aston Martin has not yet announced India-specific pricing or confirmed the DBX GT’s launch timeline for the Indian market. Therefore, the existing DBX price of Rs 5.89 crore ex-showroom should not be considered the price of the new GT variant. Global deliveries are expected to begin in Q4 2026.

Verdict

The Aston Martin DBX GT adds a more comfort-oriented alternative to the DBX S without sacrificing performance. Its 727 HP V8, 3.1-second 0-100 KM/H time and 310 KM/H top speed remain unchanged. However, revised suspension tuning, additional cabin insulation, upgraded seats and more understated styling give the GT a distinct character. The more extreme DBX 707 continues to sit above both variants in the range.
