All-New Audi Q3 Unveiled

1 min read

Audi has recently unveiled the third‑generation Q3, marking a global debut on 16th June 2025. Though it hasn’t arrived in India yet, an Indian launch is likely later this year. Audi has reworked the design, tech, and powertrain in their new Q3.

Design

Audi’s signature grille returns. The new Q3 adopts split‐headlamp styling and a flatter grille, just like its older siblings the Q5 & the Q6 e-tron. This grille design is called the “singleframe” grille. The Audi logo has been flattened. There are new LED headlamps integrated into the front fascia.

Step around the rear, and you’ll find slimmer connected taillights joint by a gloss-black trim strip. The design resembled Audi’s flagship e-Tron GT sports electric car. The exhausts are hidden. The wheelbase grew by 97 MM for more interior space.

Interior

The cabin has gone digital. You’ll find Audi’s new 10.25-inch instrument display paired with an 11.9-inch central touchscreen. Both are clear and well-integrated. The dashboard angles slightly toward the driver, and the use of materials looks more cohesive than before.

Ambient lighting wraps around key touchpoints. Physical controls have been minimised, though Audi hasn’t completely abandoned hard buttons for climate control. There’s a new shifter design and a relocated start-stop button too, following cues from its larger siblings. Boot space remains similar at around 530 litres, expandable with the usual split seats.

Platform, Powertrain & Safety

The Q3 sticks with the aging MQB Evo underpinnings. The platform is shared with the Volkswagen Tiguan, Audi A4 & the previous-generation Audi Q3 as well. It has scored a 5-Star Euro NCAP safety rating, for peace of mind.

Engine options include a 1.5 TFSI, 2.0 TFSI, diesel, plus a new plug‑in hybrid . Quattro AWD remains exclusive to the 2.0L turbo-petrol. In India, we will likely receive only the 2.0L turbo-petrol AWD variant.

Verdict

The new Q3 isn’t radically new, reusing the formula Audi has stuck with for over a decade, offering style, tech, and just enough performance. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed, but expect a premium of at least ₹1.5–2 lakh over the current model when it lands in India. It will return to an Indian market where the BMW X1 has gone full luxury, the Mercedes GLA has gone sporty, and Volvo has gone electric.
