Honda has been lagging in the Indian market for quite some time now. The company banked too long on its brand image, which caused them to fall behind the competition. Honda’s latest launch was the 3rd gen Amaze, which is doing well in its segment. However, things are set to change as Honda plans to launch new products in the Indian market. Honda has promised to launch a new car every year until 2030. Here are 3 new upcoming SUVs that are rumoured to be launched in the Indian market:

Honda ZR-V

This news has not been confirmed yet, but Honda has showcased the ZR-V to dealers at a dealer meet, indicating a possible launch. A few industry reports also suggest similar developments. The ZR-V is a hybrid crossover which employs an Atkinson Cycle engine, similar to that seen on the Honda City e: HEV. The ZR-V comes with features such as a 9-inch infotainment screen, a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, powered front seats, ADAS features and many more. The ZR-V will most likely be launched as a CKD.

Honda Elevate 7-Seater

It is no secret that Honda has been working on a 7-seater version of the Elevate. The new model will share its underpinnings with the Elevate but will be longer to accommodate another row of seats. The interiors are also expected to be similar to those of the Elevate. This new model is expected to get features such as a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, connected car tech and more. The new model will be powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the Elevate, but one can expect power figures to be bumped up to compensate for the added weight. This new model is expected to be launched by 2026 and is expected to be priced between 15-21 lakh rupees.

Honda Elevate EV

The Elevate EV was announced during the launch of the ICE Elevate. This model will be based on the current ICE Elevate. One can expect some design changes such as EV-specific design elements. As far as features, the Elevate EV is expected to come with features such as V2V and V2L charging functions, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and more. The battery pack details have not been revealed yet, but one can expect the Elevate EV to come with a 40-50KWH battery pack with an estimated range of around 400KM. This model is expected to be launched by 2026 and is expected to rival vehicles such as the Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti e-Vitara.
