Mercedes-Benz has launched the 2026 Mercedes-AMG E 53 in India with prices starting at ₹1.45 crore (ex-showroom). The performance sedan is available in two versions: the AMG E 53 Performance Edition and the AMG E 53 Racing Edition. Plug-In Hybrid Delivers 585 HP
Powering the AMG E 53 is a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine paired with an electric motor and a 21.2 kWh usable battery pack. The combined system produces 585 HP and 750 NM.
Power is sent to all four wheels through Mercedes-Benz’s 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The sedan accelerates from 0-100 KM/H in just 4.0 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 KM/H.
The Racing Edition comes with the AMG Driver’s Package as standard, increasing the top speed to 280 KM/H.
Mercedes-AMG E 53: Electric Range & Charging
Mercedes-Benz claims the AMG E 53 offers an electric-only driving range of up to 100 KM. The 400 V battery supports 60 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80 percent charge in around 20 minutes.
Using an 11 kW AC charger, a full charge takes approximately 2.25 hours, making the plug-in hybrid system practical for everyday driving.
