The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza has secured a full 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests ahead of its official launch. The updated compact SUV scored an impressive 30.41 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 43 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP). Bharat NCAP tested the top-spec ZXI+ 1.5-litre 6AT variant of the 2026 Brezza. However, the agency confirmed that the crash-test results apply across the entire model range.
The new Brezza scored 30.41 out of 32 points in Adult Occupant Protection and 43 out of 49 points in Child Occupant Protection, earning a 5-star rating in both categories.

During the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs, and feet received a ‘Good’ protection rating. The chest and tibiae were rated as ‘Adequate’. The front passenger also received ‘Good’ protection for most body regions, while the tibiae were rated ‘Adequate’.
In the side impact and side pole tests, all major body regions, including the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis, received a ‘Good’ protection rating. The Brezza scored a perfect 16 out of 16 points in the side movable barrier test.

The tested Brezza ZXI+ variant came equipped with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), seat belt reminders for all seats, front seat belt pretensioners, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages for the rear outboard seats. These safety features will be available across the variant lineup according to Bharat NCAP.
