Mahindra has launched the updated 2025 Bolero Neo in India, priced from ₹8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed model arrives alongside the updated Bolero and introduces a new top-end N11 variant. It receives a price reduction in the range of ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 depending on the trim. The Bolero Neo, positioned as a bridge between rugged utility and urban practicality, receives minor design enhancements, new features on the inside, and a more competitive pricing structure. With these updates, Mahindra aims to strengthen the Bolero Neo’s presence in the compact SUV segment while keeping its signature ladder-frame toughness intact.

New N11 Variant & Updates

The 2025 lineup introduces a new N11 variant, now sitting above the previous top-spec N10 (O) trim. Prices for the Bolero Neo range start at ₹8.49 lakh and goes up to ₹9.99 lakh for the N11 variant. The pricing revision aligns with Mahindra’s recent strategy to make its body-on-frame vehicles more competitive amid growing pressure from modern compact SUVs.

While the overall shape remains familiar, the 2025 Bolero Neo gets subtle styling tweaks that enhance its stance. The grille now features a revised silver pattern, along with new 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside, Mahindra has provided a new dual-tone theme. The dashboard gets a new and bigger 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with a reverse camera. It also gets a USB-C charging port. Two new exterior colours, Jeans Blue and Concrete Grey, along with dual-tone colour options, have been added. However, the Bolero Neo still comes with just two airbags.

N4₹8.49 lakh
N8₹9.29 lakh
N10₹9.79 lakh
N11₹9.99 lakh

Engine & Performance Unchanged

Under the hood, the Bolero Neo retains its 1.5-litre 3-cylinder mHawk100 diesel engine, producing 100 HP and 260 NM of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This powertrain continues to offer good torque delivery at low speeds, which helps both in urban traffic and rough road conditions. The SUV also keeps its rear-wheel-drive layout and body-on-frame setup, setting it apart from most front-wheel-drive rivals in the sub-4M category. The Bolero Neo features Mahindra’s micro-hybrid technology (engine auto start/stop) on all variants, which helps to improve fuel efficiency. The ride quality and handling stability have been improved, along with the better suspension and brakes.

Market Positioning

The 2025 Bolero Neo continues to occupy a niche position in the compact SUV segment, being the only one in its segment to offer a body-on-frame chassis along with RWD. It appeals to buyers who value strength and reliability over modern features. With the new pricing and N11 variant, Mahindra is clearly attempting to attract customers through the Bolero Neo’s affordability. Combined with the updated Bolero, Mahindra’s dual SUV strategy seems designed to preserve its stronghold in the utility segment. This ensures that both models remain relevant in a market dominated by feature-rich compact SUVs.
